TERMINATION OF LOAD SHEDDING PROGRAMME

The Ministry of Energy wishes to announce to the general public that effective Monday, 1st October, 2007, the Load Shedding Programme which commenced in August of 2006 will be discontinued forthwith. As a result, consumers will now enjoy twenty-four hours of electricity supply.

This decision was taken following a review of the power supply situation between the Government and the power utilities.
