Courtesy Call By International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)

Earlier today, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor.

The team comprised of;

1. Mr. Philippe Metzger - Secretary General of the International Electrotechnical Commission,

2. Ing. Prof. Amevi Acakpovi - President of the IEC National Committee of Ghana,

3. Mr. Francois Ahoti - Regional Representative of the IEC in Africa and

Tuesday, 13th May 2025. The Ghana Energy Awards team paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, at the Ministry in Accra.

The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Awards Panel Kwame Jantuah, Esq. Other members were Dr. Kwame Ampofo, Dr. Jemima Nunoo, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, Ing. Henry Teinor (Event Director), Mr. Eugene Amoako, Mr. Kwame Atiase, Mr. Emmanuel Abossey, and Miss Stephanie Tetteh.

The Minister for Energy and Green Transition has commended BOSTEnergies, formerly Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Ltd. (BOST), for its renewed strategic direction and dynamism.

He praised the company’s rebranding as a sign of its commitment to Ghana’s fuel security and welcomed the creation of a Renewable Energy Department, aligning with the President’s vision for a cleaner energy future.

The Minister of Energy and Green Transition has inaugurated a 10-member panel of energy sector experts tasked with ensuring continuous stability in the country’s power sector.

During the inauguration, the Minister expressed confidence in the panel’s expertise and pledged the Ministry’s full support and guidance in carrying out their mandate. The panel has been directed to conduct a comprehensive review of the operations, procedures, and manuals of the wholesale electricity market.
