    Energy Minister Inaugurates a 10-Member Expert Panel

    The Minister of Energy and Green Transition has inaugurated a 10-member panel of energy sector experts tasked with ensuring continuous stability in the country’s power sector.

    During the inauguration, the Minister expressed confidence in the panel’s expertise and pledged the Ministry’s full support and guidance in carrying out their mandate. The panel has been directed to conduct a comprehensive review of the operations, procedures, and manuals of the wholesale electricity market.

     On behalf of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, opening remarks were delivered by the Minister of Energy and Green Transition at the 7th Meeting of the African Petroleum Producers Organisation (APPO) National Oil Companies (NOCs) CEOs Forum held in Accra.

    APPO has long provided a platform for collaboration among Africa’s national oil companies, ensuring that the continent’s voice and priorities are amplified on the global energy stage. 
    During the forum, emphasis was placed on Africa’s approach to the global energy transition.

  • Energy Minister Delivers Keynote Address At 2025 Local Content Conference & Exhibition


    The Minister of energy and Green Transition on 4th November 2025 delivered the keynote address at the 2025 Local Content Conference & Exhibition in the Western Region where he reaffirmed Government’s commitment to revitalising Ghana’s upstream petroleum sector.
    He emphasised that despite recent challenges including a 32% decline in oil production since 2019 and reduced exploration activity, decisive actions are underway to restore investor confidence and strengthen local participation.

  • Energy Minister Inspects Ongoing Works at Atuabo Gas Processing Plant

    The Minister for Energy and Green Transition paid a working visit to the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant to inspect ongoing maintenance works as part of the scheduled shutdown of the Ghana Gas Infrastructure Project.

    He expressed satisfaction with the progress made and encouraged the team to maintain momentum to ensure completion within the stipulated timeframe.

    The Minister for Energy has inaugurated the newly constituted Board of the GNPC Foundation, reaffirming government’s commitment to ensuring that petroleum resources deliver tangible social and economic benefits to Ghanaians.
